3 Little Birds in Sign Language

Year 1

In Year 1 we have been learning about the UK and Jamaica.  We have located the UK on a map of the world and located places in the UK and coloured the flags.  We then located Jamaica on a map of the world.  We coloured the Jamaican flag.  We learnt about 2 famous people from Jamaica - Usain Bolt and Bob Marley. 

We talked about Usain Bolt's achievements and drew what we would like to achieve in the future.

Year 2

In Year 2, we have been learning about who Mary Seacole is. We have found out lots of amazing new facts about her, such as, where she was born, why she is famous and how it is important to remember her. To celebrate Mary Seacole, the children carefully drew portraits of her and coloured these in. The children were extremely conscientious to ensure that they included all of Mary's medals.
