Absence
Please let us know if ever you feel your child is not well enough to come to school and you decide to keep him/her at home.
The best procedure is to phone the school office by 9.30am on the first morning of the illness. This will prevent staff worrying about the whereabouts of absent children. It ensures the child's absence has some verification information about the absence by the parent/carer, that goes into the attendance files.
It is the responsibility of the parent/carer to ensure that their child arrives and leaves school safely and on time.
We are unable to authorise any leave of absence during term time for holidays.

Please let us know about dental/medical appointments which may entail your child missing all or part of a session. If your child needs to attend a medical appointment during school hours please call at the school office to 'sign in / sign out' as appropriate.
Proof of the medical appointment will need to be shown to the School Office in order to authorise absence for a medical reason.
