Absence

Please let us know if ever you feel your child is not well enough to come to school and you decide to keep him/her at home.

The best procedure is to phone the school office by 9.05 am on the first morning of the illness and then when the child returns to school send him / her with a note explaining the absence. This will prevent staff worrying about the whereabouts of absent children. It ensures on the child's return that some written information about the absence, signed by the parent/carer, goes into the attendance files.

Please let us know about dental/medical appointments which may entail your child missing all or part of a session. If your child needs to attend a medical appointment during school hours please call at the school office to 'sign in / sign out' as appropriate.
